This session fosters a culture of support and innovation, equipping staff with practical ideas and connections that can be applied to their daily work and long-term goals.

She provides training and resources that support the development of staff skills and grow their capabilities, so they can be successful in their roles now and in the future, by reaching their highest potential. Work-Life Integration
Jordan Cooper, Director, Cross-Cultural Connections
Jordan Cooper is the inaugural Director of Cross-Cultural Connections in Washington University’s Center for Diversity and Inclusion. Her career at WashU has included roles in Undergraduate Admissions, Residential Life, and WashU Cares, along with advising student organizations and teaching in the Dialogue Across Difference program. A two-time WashU graduate, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies and Dance and a master’s in Social Work.
Sorry to Bother You: A 10-Year Longitudinal Study of Imposter Syndrome
Danny Jaschek, Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, Medical Advancement
Danny Jaschek serves as Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations for WashU Medicine. In his 10 years at WashU, he has had the privilege of supporting faculty and clinicians from across the School of Medicine. Danny is passionate about connecting crucial research and scientific breakthroughs with impactful funding. Danny is a 2025 graduate of the Emerging Leader Program, and holds a Masters in Public Affairs.

Having Difficult Conversations
Lauren Karpman, Director of Pharmacy, Infectious Diseases
Lauren Karpman (she/her) is the Director of Pharmacy in the Infectious Diseases Division at WashU Medicine. She enjoys working with a dedicated pharmacy team focused on ensuring patients receive timely and affordable medications. Her proudest professional accomplishment is opening two pharmacies at WashU to serve Infectious Diseases patients in the St. Louis region. Lauren holds a PharmD from UHSP and an MBA from LSU Shreveport, and has prior experience in Specialty and Hospital Pharmacy. Outside of work, she enjoys family time, listening to audiobooks, volunteering and serving as a Board Member at Food Outreach, and exploring new restaurants in St. Louis.

Emily Morgan, Residential Community Director, Residential Life
Emily Morgan (she/they) has worked at WashU for 3 years and currently serves as a Residential Community Director for 500 first- and second-year undergraduate students, 17 Resident Advisors, and 1 Graduate Assistant on the Danforth Campus. Emily is passionate about supporting students in their growth outside of the classroom and developing the next generation of leaders. Prior to working at WashU, Emily received a master’s degree in College Student Affairs Administration from the University of Georgia.

Cultivating Joy in Uncertain Times: Mindfulness as a Tool to Reduce Stress and Discover a Greater Appreciation for Life

This session focuses on practical strategies for staff to prioritize well-being in the workplace and beyond. Participants will explore tools for managing stress, maintaining balance, and building healthy habits that support both personal and professional growth.

About Meg Krejci
Meg comes from a background in Accounting and International Business. As a result of the stress her career generated, she sought out training in mindfulness through Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program at the Center for Mindfulness – UMass Medical School. For the last 20 years, Meg has been guiding individuals of all ages & organizations in stress reduction strategies through her programs at Masterpeace Studios; a nonprofit organization in St. Louis. The Move into Mindfulness program offered for Washington University employees is modeled on this evidenced-based curriculum. Meg is passionate about sharing the benefits of practicing mindfulness to help employees reduce stress and anxiety, improve health and mental well-being, and achieve greater adaptability and appreciation in life.
