Faculty Opportunities
Developing faculty as leaders of character and capability is an essential component of WashU Leads.
Faculty have many opportunities to have a positive impact on the University community and our broader society. In their leadership of students in the classroom, leadership within professional associations, and contributions to the administration of the university, faculty—regardless of rank or role—guide the development of others. The Bauer Leaders Academy collaborates with partners on campus and offers unique programs to develop faculty as leaders of character and capability.

The Danforth Faculty Affairs and Diversity office provides several opportunities for faculty to develop as leaders. Notable programs include the Coach Training Program and the Faculty Transformational Leadership Institute. For more information about these and other programs, visit the Faculty Affairs and Diversity office.
Faculty Grant Opportunities
The Bauer Leaders Academy offers selective grants to help faculty infuse their courses with themes related to purpose and leadership. By thinking critically and creatively about their areas of expertise, faculty deepen their own leadership while building pedagogy that contributes to the development of their students.
Staff Opportunities
The Institute for Leadership Excellence (ILE) provides a range of opportunities for staff members. Signature cohort programs are the Emerging Leaders program and the Leadership Excellence and Development program. For more information and to apply to these programs, please visit the Institute for Leadership Excellence.
Central to WashU Leads is providing opportunities for staff members to continuously grow and develop as leaders.
This program will catalyze the many ways and the many places where our students—and our university—lead for years to come.
