The Bauer Leaders Academy (BLA) is on a mission to inspire leadership and foster connection, and its new initiative, Momentum Mondays, is already making waves. Designed to help students kickstart their week with creative and meaningful activities, Momentum Mondays have set the tone for what promises to be a cornerstone of the BLA experience.
Two events in, the series is proving to be as engaging as it is impactful.
A Vision for the Future
The inaugural Momentum Monday set a high bar, bringing together students for a vision board workshop. Hosted in an open and welcoming space, the event encouraged participants to reflect on their goals and aspirations while designing their personal roadmaps for the future.
Students flipped through magazines, cut out inspiring images, and pasted their dreams and ambitions onto vibrant poster boards. Some envisioned career success, while others focused on personal growth or lifelong learning.
Catering from Qdoba added a festive flair, with tacos and burrito bowls fueling the creativity. “It was incredible to see the enthusiasm in the room,” said a BLA coordinator. “This was more than just crafting—it was about setting intentions and building connections.”
Legos Builds Creativity
Momentum Mondays’ second event offered a shift in focus but kept the energy alive. For the Lego Party, students gathered over pizza to construct their own creations, ranging from abstract models to intricate designs.
While the turnout was smaller, the event provided an intimate atmosphere that allowed for more meaningful interaction among attendees. The challenge of working with Legos encouraged problem-solving, collaboration, and a different kind of creativity—one that sparked laughter and conversation.
“Even though the group was smaller, the connection was stronger,” one participant shared. “It felt like a space where we could just unwind and enjoy being in the moment.”

Momentum Mondays reflect a broader effort by BLA to provide students with opportunities that blend leadership, creativity, and community-building. Each event is designed to not only offer a break from the demands of academic life but also to foster a sense of purpose and connection among students.
